Aloft Ft. Lauderdale – Conceptual Mural Design
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
While visiting Ft. Lauderdale on vacation, Nick Abstract couldn’t help but notice the striking, unadorned facade of the Aloft Hotel—a prime architectural opportunity within the Marriott portfolio. The clean lines and verticality of the building sparked a vision: a large-format mural that could transform the structure into a vibrant visual landmark.
Upon returning home, Nick created this conceptual design as a speculative proposal—bringing his signature geometric abstraction to life in a context that merges art, architecture, and environment. Warm, sun-washed tones flow through the composition alongside deep Florida blues that blend seamlessly into the beachside skyline, creating a narrative that reflects the region’s coastal energy and tropical vibrancy.
Though this is not a commissioned mural, it reflects Nick’s approach to designing impactful, large-scale artwork for hospitality brands, modern developments, and high-rise facades. The concept is fully executable and adaptable for hotel or residential towers seeking bold identity through public art.
